PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the influence of program data etc. on a traffic in market data distribution due to priority of the market data required to be distributed in real time, when distributing, from a server, data such as the program data and batch information used for controlling and processing on a client side. SOLUTION: This data distribution system includes a means for distributing arbitrarily divided block data from a server with block numbers allocated to each of the block data; a means for determining at the client's side whether an error exists or not in each of the block data; a means for transmitting the block data as an error log information to a server together with the block number based on the result of the determination; and a means for selecting a predetermined transmitting means based on the error log information on the server's receipt, to transmit the necessary block data via the selected transmitting means.
