PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new structure and a material of an optical incident electrode which has a high quality of plate of an optical interference display and is manufactured at an excellent yield. SOLUTION: The optical incident electrode 302 is a translucent electrode composed of a substrate 3021 and a dielectric layer 3022. A part of light is absorbed by the optical incident electrode 302 when incident light passes through the optical incident electrode 302. A substrate 3021 is manufactured from such conductive transparent materials as ITO, indium IZO, ZO and IO, for example, and a combinations of them.
