PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seaming tool for a cap, applying uniform seaming force to a cap in the process of seaming the cap. SOLUTION: This seaming tool 20 is fitted to a cylindrical part 2 of a fuel tank T and adapted to seam the cap 5 where two or more longitudinal ribs 5b are formed on the outer peripheral surface 5a. The tool includes two or more pressing parts 22 having an inner curved surface 22a corresponding to the outer peripheral surface 5a of the cap 5, and all engaged with the space between two or more longitudinal ribs 5b to press the longitudinal ribs 5b in the seaming direction.
