PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method and a manufacturing apparatus for removing hollow fiber membrane burrs in the apertures of hollow fiber membranes in a hollow fiber membrane module. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method and the manufacturing apparatus comprise arranging heat holding members between a heat source and the opening ends of the hollow fiber membranes when removing the hollow fiber membrane burrs at the opening ends of the hollow fiber membranes by heating and melting. The entire part at the opening ends of the hollow fiber membranes can thereby be heated and melted rapidly and uniformly and the high-grade hollow fiber membrane module can be efficiently produced.
