PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems that prophylaxis of diseases of a globefish is carried out and detoxication of a fish body is demanded from both a producer and a consumer in order to smoothly carry out production of a cultured swellfish. SOLUTION: The method for the prophylaxis of diseases and detoxication of the globefish reared in culture water after carrying out a sterilization treatment and/or a bacterial removing treatment of the globefish at a period just after hatching to 15 weeks after the hatching is provided. The sterilization treatment is performed by any of an ultraviolet sterilization treatment, an ozone sterilization treatment and a thermal sterilization treatment. The bacterial removing treatment is a filtration treatment performed by any of a microfilter, an ultrafiltration membrane, a dialytic membrane and a reverse osmosis membrane.
