The present invention discloses a method for the activation and the deecitation in the location service, it relates to the orientation technique to the network device. The method includes: the end user equipment sends the location service operation request, in the operation request there has the end user equipment identify; after the location service system receives the location service operation request, it performs the operation corresponding to the end user equipment identify and the operation request content in the operation request; and corresponding to the location service operation request content, the location service system performs the operation to the latter location service operation request. The present invention defines the alternation flow of activation and deecitation between the end user equipment and the location service system, it makes the end user equipment can freely control the startup and the close of the customized location service and expediently control information of itself providing to the outside.
