<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate proper waveform data and so on in proper timing. <P>SOLUTION: During distribution, musical piece data including only MP3 data of standard pitch are distributed and after reception, MP3 data other than the standard pitch are generated according to an MP3 key change data additional pattern included in a distribution header and added to the musical piece data. An adequate measure is taken thereafter according to an actual playing frequency. It is decided whether each musical piece currently has MP3 data needed corresponding to the playing frequency; and when the MP3 data are not sufficient, the MP3 data are generated and stored, but when the MP3 data are excessive, the excessive MP3 data are deleted. Consequently, a song whose playing frequency is high has many kinds of MP3 data, but a song whose playing frequency is low has a relatively small number of kinds of MP3 data. During a musical performance, MP3 data having the smallest pitch variation quantity are decoded and pitch change is further performed when necessary. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
