<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a line image without having an edge effect in a developing method by which an electrostatic latent image is developed by using two-component developer. <P>SOLUTION: A developing method by which a developer carrier (111) possessing a magnet inside is arranged opposed to an image carrier (100), and two-component developer incorporating toner and magnetic carrier is carried in a layer-like state on the surface of the developer carrier, and the layer of two-component developer is fluidized while forming a magnetic brush at least at an area opposed to the image carrier by giving a difference in the speed of the developer carrier and that of the magnet, and scattering toner separated from the magnetic carrier in a fluidizing process is supplied for development by sticking to a latent image on the image carrier is adopted, so that the development of a line latent image is started from the center part of the line latent image in a width direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
