<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional radiation position detector capable of increasing the number of layers of scintillator arrays and superior in accuracy for detecting the position of radiation absorption. <P>SOLUTION: The three-dimensional radiation position detector 1 is provided with a scintillator unit 10, a light receiving element 20, and an operation part 30. The scintillator unit 10 is provided on a light incidence plane of the light receiving element 20 and constituted by sequentially layering four scintillator arrays 11-14 in a direction (the direction of a z-axis) vertical to the light incidence plane. The four scintillator arrays 11-14 are each constituted by two-dimensionally arranging 8×8 scintillator cells. The scintillator cell generates scintillation light according to radiation absorption. Optical conditions of at least one and the same side plane are different between scintillator cells C<SB>k1</SB>,<SB>m</SB>,<SB>n</SB>contained in one layer and scintillator cells C<SB>k2</SB>,<SB>m</SB>,<SB>n</SB>contained in scintillator arrays in another layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
