<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic sorting machine of four kinds of empty containers, which sorts empty containers for drinks into four groups of aluminum cans, iron cans, bottles and PET (polyethylene telephthalate) bottles. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor part is provided with a magnetic sensor and a metal sensor on the outer periphery of a non-magnetic, non-metal pipe to detect iron cans and aluminum cans passing through the pipe. A sorting part is enforced to be a vertical wall surface usually by attaching springs at shaft ends on one side of two rotatable left and right sorting plates. Electric magnets are attached to the ends on the other side to rotate and incline the sorting plates by a signal from the sensor part to introduce iron cans and aluminum cans into housing boxes. Then, PET bottles, because of their light weight, slide on several flexible sorting wires 19 extended to the lower part as a floor surface, and bottles, because of their heavy weight, fall downward by widening spaces between the wires, into respective housing boxes. The installing of the automatic sorting machine of four kinds of empty containers attached with a container collection box nearby a vending machine for soft drinks together with a trash box at a street corner can save the installation space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
