PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data communication equipment capable of controlling processing for arranging the received packets in accordance with the state of a processing system for processing the data based on the receiving states of packets and the received packets.

SOLUTION: The data communication equipment is constituted of a packet arranging means (113) of the received packets on the basis of the order information of the received packets, a packet supply means (114) for supplying the arranged received packets to a data reproducing means (115), and control means (120, 130) for controlling whether the reception of packets to be arranged by the packet arranging means (113) is to be waited for or not on the basis of at least one of the storage state of the received packets in a buffer means (111) and the processing state in the data reproducing means (115).
