<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle monitoring device capable of increasing the reliability of security by detecting the other person disguised as an occupant. <P>SOLUTION: The ECU 19 (CPU 21) of this vehicle monitoring device 10 acquires the image of an operator's seat camera or a passenger's seat camera 12 for photographing the occupant of the vehicle. When the ECU 19 determines that the occupant enters into the vehicle, it acquires the image and collates it with a pre-registered face image.
