PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data signal transmitting/receiving method, a data signal transmitter/receiver and a flat panel display device with a high data rate and a characteristic immune to external noise. SOLUTION: The data signal receiving method includes the steps of composing the data lines into groups each having N (positive constant) input data signals and M (positive constant <N) reference signals, associating the M reference signals on M reference lines with each group of N input data lines, receiving data on the data line and the reference signal on the reference line, and determining a data value on each data line from a difference between signal parameters on the N data lines and signal parameters on the M reference lines for each group.
