PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loading for papermaking significantly highly contributing to product cost reduction effect, causing no quality deterioration of the paper product, high in yield at wet end in papermaking operation, and good in papermaking suitability (wire abrasion resistance), and also to provide loaded paper. SOLUTION: The loading comprises a combination of an inexpensive ground calcium carbonate with 2:1-type clay mineral also inexpensive with high smoothness. The clay mineral/calcium carbonate-loaded paper contains 5-80 wt.% of the loading based on pulp stock on a unit dry basis. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
