PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector for executing highly efficient cooling and noise reduction, and for carrying out the effective cooling of each polarizer at the outgoing side of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: Transparent radiator plates 26R, 26G and 26B are fixed to the outgoing faces of polarizers 61R, 61G and 61B respectively arranged at the outgoing sides of three liquid crystal panels 40R, 40G and 40B, and a radiating block 24 thermally conducted to the transparent radiator plates 26R, 26G and 26B is arranged on the upper face or/and lower face of a prism composite body 22, and a cooling fan 130 for air-cooling the radiating block 24 is arranged in a cooling chamber 120 constituted of a space air-tightly isolated from the other space in an exterior case 2 of a projector 1, and external air is sucked from the outside of the exterior case 2 of the projector 1 to the cooling chamber 120 by the cooling fan 130, and blown to the radiating block 24, and discharged to the outside of the exterior case 2.
