PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting device for ensuring that inductive loads, such as solenoid is properly connected and operating, without inviting labor time or high cost. SOLUTION: In this device, pulse width modulated (PWM) signal 62 is applied to a [H] voltage potential-connected transistor 68, and an electric current flows in a solenoid. Both a circulating diode 70, and an operational amplifier (Op Amp) circuit 66, coupled to the circulating diode 70 to serve as an inversion amplifier and charge a first condenser 64, when solenoid is driven by the transistor 68, are connected to the output side of the transistor 68. The operational amplifier circuit 66 charges the primary condenser 64 during [H] state of each PWM signal cycle, while blocking discharging of the primary condenser 64 during [L] state of each PWM signal cycle.
