<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nicotianamine, by which the nicotianamine can simply be produced in a good yield in an industrial scale. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the nicotianamine is characterized by reducing a compound represented by formula (3) (R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>and R<SB>3</SB>are each a carboxylic acid-protecting group; R<SB>4</SB>is an amine-protecting group) in the presence of nickel boride and then removing the protecting groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
