<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmitting device capable of using a mechanical frictional resistance applying means which uses centrifugal force instead of a conventional electromagnetic type using a magnetic attraction force. <P>SOLUTION: In this rotation transmitting device 1 which has a two-way clutch C consisting of an outer wheel 2, an input shaft 4, and retainer 7 in which a roller 9 is built, and in which a flange member 13 is integrally formed in the retainer 7, and the frictional resistance applying means for pressing the flange member 13 to the outer wheel 2 is built, the frictional resistance applying means forms an inclination surface 16 at the input shaft 4. A plurality of weights 19 are accommodated in an annular area formed by the inclination surface and the flange member 13. The frictional coefficient between the flange member 13 and the outer wheel 2 is set so as to be larger than the frictional coefficient between the flange member 13 and the weights 19. The weights 19 move outward by the centrifugal force due to rotation of the input shaft 4 and the flange member 13 is pressed to the outer wheel 2, and an electromagnetic clutch 29 for absorbing a rotational gap between both the outer wheel and the input shaft is disposed at the outer periphery portions of the outer wheel 1 and the input shaft 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
