PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components of a light source unit in an optical scanner for optically scanning a plurality of faces to be scanned, using a single deflecting means. SOLUTION: The deflecting means 4 has light-receiving means 11 and 14 having a common rotating shaft on each deflected reflection face, standardized to the whole optical flux from a plurality of light sources 1A-1B' and deflected with the deflecting means 4. A plurality of the optical fluxes toward the deflecting means have an opening angleθin the deflected rotating face. A scanning optical system, for light-guiding the deflected optical flux to the corresponding face to be scanned, is composed of two or more scanning lenses 5A-5B' and 6A-6B'. The scanning lenses 6A-6B' nearest the faces to be scanned 8A-8B' pass only the optical flux toward the same face to be scanned guide the optical flux to the different faces to be scanned; and optical actions of the scanning lenses 6A-6B' nearest to the face to be scanned are mutually different.
