PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel in which even if there happens a fluctuations in the injection quantity from a nozzle in the coating process of a phosphor paste due to the difference of the property of the phosphor paste, a phosphor layer of a constant thickness not relying on the injection quantity can be obtained. SOLUTION: This is a plasma display panel in which barrier ribs of stripe shape are formed respectively in parallel on both sides of each address electrode, and a phosphor layer is formed in a discharge cell which is formed by the crossing points of the display electrode and the address electrode. The barrier ribs are constructed of a main barrier rib 16 and an auxiliary barrier rib 17 that is provided in parallel with the main barrier rib 16 at a certain intervals and smaller in height than the main barrier rib 16, and in the coating process of the phosphor paste to the discharge cell, the phosphor paste is made to flow from the discharge cell filled fully with the phosphor paste into the space between the main barrier ribs 16 and the auxiliary barrier ribs 17.
