PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel aromatic polyamide composition excellent in heat resistance, mechanical properties, etc., and to provide a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The aromatic polyamide composition in the form of a molding is produced by imidizing an aromatic polyamic acid in a uniform mixture of a solution of the aromatic polyamide with a solution of an aromatic polyamic acid and removing the solvent from the reaction mixture.
