PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost position sensor for power cylinders for an electric wheelchair automatically set to a desired attitude out of various attitude modes and easily assembled in a space. SOLUTION: This position sensor 80 detects advancing/retreating positions of cylinder rods 11, 21, 31 and 41 guided to advance/retreat by cylinder bodies 12, 22, 32 and 42 of the power cylinders 10, 20, 30 and 40 provided in the electric wheelchair and the attitude of the wheelchair is controlled thereby. A shaft fixed to one base end of two link arms whose tips are rotatably connected to each other is pivoted to the cylinder bodies 12-42, the other base end is pivoted to the cylinder rods 11-41, and the meter rotating shaft of a rotating potentiometer is connected to the shaft, so that the meter rotating shaft is rotated interlocked with the advancement/retreat of the cylinder rods 11-41.
