PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model animal for allergic rhinitis excellent in in-vivo evaluation system, effectively usable in screening of materials for prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis especially rhinitis associated with allergy to cedar pollen. SOLUTION: The model animal for allergic rhinitis is produced by a method comprising a step (a) administering a chemical mediator and/or cytokine to a small animal and a step (b) administering cedar pollen allergen Cry j 1 and/or Cry j 2.
