INDIRECTLY ILLUMINATED HEADLIGHT

According to motor vehicle design, the rear lights of vehicles are often provided with colour screens in order to homogenise the outside appearance of the vehicle. Due to a targeted selection of the colours of said colour screens, the appearance of the lights can be adapted to the colour of the bodywork of the vehicle. As the light radiated from the lights is influenced, however, by the colouring of the colour screens, the possible colouring of the colour screens is greatly limited, especially for legal reasons. The invention thus provides a lamp which is especially suitable as the headlight of a motor vehicle. Said lamp consists of a luminous body (3) comprising a primary illuminant (1) and covered by a luminous disk (4). A means (30) is associated with the luminous body (3), enabling the colour of the light emitted by the lamp to be influenced such that the opening of the lamp appears to be a particular colour. Advantageously, the luminous body (3) also comprises a secondary light source (2) which is connected to the control means (30) and is oriented in such a way that the light emitted thereby only emerges from the lamp as a result of reflection, especially by the reflector (5) associated with the first light source. The control means (30) is thus embodied in such a way that the primary and secondary light sources (1,2) can be simultaneously activated.
