PURPOSE: A PIMS(Personal Information Management System) on the Internet and a member registration method using the same are provided to systematically manage the member information such as an ID and a password by storing personal information in a database of a central server. CONSTITUTION: User terminals(40a-40n) are equipped with an interface connectable to the Internet(30). A PIC(Personal Information Centralization) server(10) concentratedly manages the personal information on the Internet by connecting to the user terminal through the Internet and provides membership operating servers(20a-20n) with the personal information differed by a level if the membership operating server requests the personal information. The membership operating servers operate the site providing information and services such as the EC, an e-mail, and a portal service to members, request the personal information of the user wanting to be registered as the member to the PIC server if the user wants membership registration, and register the user as the member if a response for the information is received. |
