PURPOSE: Avatar creation using the IGA(Interactive Genetic Algorithm) is provided to create a high quality result of a manual work level in a short time and with the minimum effort, and reflect tastes, emotions, or mental inclination of a user by applying a subjectively evaluation of the user to the GA(Genetic Algorithm). CONSTITUTION: A feature for each part of a face is extracted from an inputted photo(13). After passing a preprocessing step creating a primitive avatar by using the extracted features, an initial object group is created based on the primitive avatar(15). The object corresponding to the displayed population from the created object group is displayed on a screen to receive the user's evaluation(16). If the avatar satisfying the user is present, the result is displayed and entire process is terminated(19). If the avatar satisfying the user is not present, the user evaluates the object included in the displayed population and the user's evaluation is used for evaluating each cluster(20). A new object group forming the next creation is created through crossover and mutation processes(21). |
