The present invention is related to an apparatus for irradiating products placed on pallets, said apparatus comprising: a high energy radiation beam source (1) such as an X-ray beam source, a gamma ray beam source, or similar for irradiating the product pallets (4,4',4"), an irradiation chamber, where irradiation of the product pallets (4,4',4") can be performed, said irradiation chamber comprising rotation means (3) for rotating said product pallets (4,4',4") in front of the radiation beam source (1), said apparatus being characterised in that said rotation means (3) are adapted to carry at least two product pallets together so as to allow a simultaneous irradiation of said two product pallets by successive penetration of the radiation beam emitted by the radiation beam source into said at least two product pallets. <IMAGE> |
