PURPOSE: A method of making tea using an extract of Rhizoma Acori, Glycyrrhizae Radix and Monascus pilosus is provided. The tea has a predetermined degree of a sedative action on the central nervous system, thereby treating amnesia with sleep disturbances. CONSTITUTION: Acori Rhizoma is dried in the shade, rubbed for about 30min and then fermented with Monascus pilosus at 40 to 45deg.C for 1 to 2hr. Thereafter, 5g fermented material is mixed with 0.5g Glycyrrhizae Radix and 200 to 300ml water and then extracted.
