FUNGAL RESISTANT TRANSGENIC PEPPER PLANT AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF TO IMPROVE PRODUCTIVITY OF PEPPER PLANT

PURPOSE: A fungal resistant transgenic pepper plant and a production method thereof are provided, thereby increasing fungal resistance of the pepper plant. Therefore, the productivity of the pepper plant is improved. CONSTITUTION: An expression vector for transformation of a pepper plant comprises (a) polynucleotide having pepper defensin(PepDef) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:1 or pepper esterase(PepEST) gene having the nucleotide sequence of SEQ ID NO:2; and (b) a regulating sequence operably linked to the polynucleotide. It and induces overexpression of the PepDef or PepEST in the pepper cell. A transgenic pepper cell is produced by transformation with the expression vector. The fungal resistant transgenic pepper plant is produced by growing the transgenic pepper cell.
