A buoyancy aid, designed to be held between the legs of a swimmer to support the legs and lower torso during the development of arm stroking techniques etc, has an upper enlarged portion 11 of approximately cylindrical shape and a lower prolate hollow portion 12 held together by connecting portion 13, all providing an inner space 14. A hole and plug 2 in the upper portion allow fluids to enter or exit the space for adjustment of the buoyancy. Lateral faces of connecting portion are covered with a layer 15 of soft material treated to increase friction and provide tight and steady contact between the aid and the legs of the swimmer, Figs 6 and 7 (not shown). |
