The medical treatment system (20), has a control unit (21), with a drive motor (23) connectable at the control unit, with which a treatment instrument (38) is to be operated. The system also has a torque determination unit, which determines the torque of the treatment instrument (38) coupled with the drive motor, and delivers corresponding torque data. The control unit controls the drive motor on the basis of the determined torque data. The torque determination unit obtains the torque data, by the correlation of the treatment instrument (38) determined by it, with the power supplied to the drive motor (23). The torque determination unit includes detection facilities (63, 68, 72, 73, 75, 76, fig. 9a), determining the torque of the treatment instrument and converts this to a corresponding electric signal. The torque determination unit includes evaluating facilities (70), which evaluate the electric signal and convert this in to torque data. |
