PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having a compatible standard external battery pack and its fabrication method are provided to use an external battery pack regardless of types of terminals by standardizing the external battery pack. CONSTITUTION: A standard external battery pack(32) includes a fastening device(323) at an upper side and a fixing protrusion(322) formed at a lower side. The fixing protrusion(322) is inserted into a slit(312) of a battery pack housing part to prevent the battery pack from being shaken and secure stable contact between a power apply member(321) and a contact terminal(311). The fastening device(323) is a lever having a protrusion piece with a level surface upwardly at a surface contacting with the battery pack housing part, so that the battery pack can be prevented from being fallen off upwardly from the housing part by being caught by the fastening device(323). When the lever(323) is pressed and pulled out, the battery pack is released upwardly.
