The hanging unit is assembled of the curtain pole (60) and two holding elements (50), joined with one end to a basic plate (51) attached to a wall. The opposite end of the bar-shaped holding elements (50) is provided with a semi-circular recess (52) at the top for the accommodation of the curtain pole (60). When the curtain pole (60) is positioned on top of the holding bars (50) small cylindrical locking elements (70) with elastic ribs protruding radial from their outer surfaces are inserted into a matching extension (523) of the recess (52) beside the curtain pole (60) which is safely held in place by the tension caused by the deformed ribs.
