PURPOSE: A method for processing a score computation in a song accompaniment apparatus is provided to read predetermined performance information from MIDI data to store it as score data, and to compare the score data with voice data to compute a score, thereby exactly computing a score without comparing all performance information with a voice signal. CONSTITUTION: A converter(40) reads predetermined performance information from MIDI data regardless of a reproduction operation of the MIDI data for performing a song, and stores the read performance information in a storage(50) as score data. A comparator(20) receives the score data stored in the storage(50) and voice data outputted from a voice signal processor(10), compares the score data with the voice data, and computes a score according to the compared result. When storing the performance information as the score data, tone information and time information compared with a voice signal outputted through a microphone are read/stored through the MIDI data.
