PURPOSE: To provide a hydrogen absorbing electrode with high mechanical strength, high current collecting ability, excellent in discharge performance at high current, long charge/discharge cycle life by mixing a specified binder to hydrogen absorbing alloy particles, and integrally applying the mixture to a current collector. CONSTITUTION: A styrene.butadiene copolymer preferably having a glass transition point of -5 deg.C or less and a fluororesin preferably having a molecular weight of 3,000,000 or more are mixed as a binder to hydrogen absorbing alloy (example: MmNi3.8 Al0.3 Co0.7 Mn0.2 ) particles, and the mixture is applied to a current collector preferably made of either one of a metal net, an expanded metal, and a punched metal to integrate them. |
