The central disengaging gear for a hydraulic clutch operation has a guide sleeve (16) installed concentrically inside the wall (14) of a cylinder housing (12). At least one axial slot (30) is formed in the housing adjacent to an annular flange (22) on the end of the guide sleeve and is to fix an insert (32) which grips behind the flange on its generated surface (26) to fasten the guide sleeve on the cylinder housing. An upper side (34) of the insert facing away from the annular piston (18) which is movable upon the guide sleeve lies in a plane defined through the end face (24) of the flange, or, viewed from the piston, lying in front of it.
