The gripper for film sleeves for use in shrink sleeve or stretch sleeve labelling devices. Means for travel position adjustment of the gripper jaws (2) are provided. The adjustment can take place without changing the amount of travel. The means for adjustment comprise a screw such as a grubscrew and a stop element which may be a bolt, or could be a combination of a wormwheel and worm shaft, or flat distance elements and a stop.
