PURPOSE: A remote control device is provided to install a sensor for sensing at least one of size and pressure of a finger which presses a remote controller as feature information, to identify an operator of a specific small group or an age group of the operator. CONSTITUTION: If a channel key is pressed in a remote controller(100), a key code in accordance with the channel key is transmitted to a microcomputer(4) through a keypad(6). The microcomputer(4) accumulates the key code, and decides whether an adult or a child presses the channel key. If the child presses the channel key, the microcomputer(4) searches key codes written at a key code table, and confirms whether a key code identical with the inputted key code exists. If so, the microcomputer(4) prohibits an outputting of the key code to an infrared transmitter(7). If the identical key code does not exist, the microcomputer(4) permits the key code to be outputted to the infrared transmitter(7).
