摘要 PURPOSE: A packet scheduling method for guaranteeing a minimal transmission rate in a CDMA EV-DO(Evolution-Data Optimized) mobile communication system is provided to decide whether a mobile communication terminal requesting a minimal transmission rate of packet data every time slot exists, and to assign the time slots in order that each minimal rate is guaranteed, thereby effectively performing a packet scheduling process. CONSTITUTION: If packet data which will be transmitted to a mobile communication terminal exists, a scheduling process is started(S200). A forward scheduler decides whether a current time slot is a time slot requested so as to be assigned by the mobile communication terminal(S202). If so, the forward scheduler retrieves whether a mobile communication terminal requesting a minimal transmission rate exists among mobile communication terminals disposed in a system buffer(S204). If so, the forward scheduler decides whether an average transmission rate of a certain mobile communication terminal is identical with or smaller than a minimal trnasmission rate request value(S206). If so, the forward scheduler performs a calculation(S208), and assigns the corresponding time slot to a terminal having the biggest calculation value(S210).
