Insertion electrode device (1) for insertion of a probe (2) into a container comprises an armature (3) with a mounting guide for the probe. The probe has a connection (12) for electrical leads and a probe protection tube (4). When the probe is inserted a safety adapter (25) is connected to the probe protection tube outside the container in order to protect the probe against axial displacement.
