PURPOSE: A structure for mounting a dust collector for an indoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to reliably remove dust and smell by installing a dust collector besides a suction filter. CONSTITUTION: A dust collecting frame(56) collects dust, having construction for discharge. A holder(54) is mounted at a heat exchanger, having a securing aperture(54') detachably securing the dust collecting frame. The dust collecting frame is fixed by one side of the holder. One side of the holder is directly inserted into the heat exchanger. The securing aperture of the holder is formed corresponding to an external form of the dust collecting frame, having support ends(54s) formed inside both ends for supporting both ends of the dust collecting frame. An inner wall of the securing aperture contacts with the edge side of the dust collecting frame. Fixing pieces(54h) are formed at one side of the holder, protruded toward the inside of the securing aperture. Insertion grooves are formed at the dust collecting frame corresponding to the fixing pieces for joining the dust collecting frame with the securing aperture part.
