PURPOSE: An automatic volume control device and a method of a microwave oven used for a radio are provided to automatically prevent the hearing inferiority of the radio caused by noise generated in driving the microwave oven and to maximize satisfaction and convenience for consumers. CONSTITUTION: In an automatic volume control device for a microwave oven used for a radio, a signal for driving the microwave oven is input from a microwave oven control unit(60) to a radio control unit(30) while the radio control unit outputs a predetermined audio signal through a speaker unit(50) by driving a radio circuit to a key input of an operating panel(70). The radio control unit receives the signal and controls a volume IC(Integrated Circuit,46) to output the audio signal of the radio to be amplified to the constant volume.
