A gas comprising a combination of ozone and phosphine is used. A gassing method, especially for killing vermin and the like, comprises supplying a gas, optionally as a gas flow (7), to product and/or space (17). The gas comprises a combination of ozone and phosphine. Independent claims are also included for: (a) pest control device used to carry out this method, comprising an ozone source (2) and at least one phosphine producing element (3); and (b) gassing product comprising a combination of ozone, phosphine and optionally carbon dioxide. |
