PURPOSE: A downward lighting apparatus for a driver's seat is provided to find the articles on the floor easily and conveniently at night by lighting concentrically below the driver's seat with a light emitting unit mounted in the lower part of the crash pad in front of the driver's seat. CONSTITUTION: A downward lighting apparatus for a driver's seat(1) is composed of a light emitting unit(20) mounted in the lower part of a crash pad(10) placed in front of the driver's seat and installed in the upper part of a footrest for putting a foot of a driver thereon, and an operating switch(24) turning on and off the light emitting unit by electrically connecting the light emitting unit to a power supply unit. The light emitting unit is composed of a light emitting diode or a light bulb, and closed by a transparent glass cover to prevent breakage in being exposed out. The light emitting unit is turned on by turning on the operating switch.
