PURPOSE: A method for upgrading a program of a memory is provided to normally restart a system booting operation even if an error is generated while the program stored in the memory is updated with a new program. CONSTITUTION: A system booting program and a firmware program are separately stored to each different area of one memory(S31). When the program of the memory is updated, the program recorded to another area is updated with the new program after setting a flag to the area storing the system booting program(S32). When an update error is generated, upgrading operation is restarted after booting a system by using the system booting program separately stored in the corresponding area(S35).
