The installation has nets (2, 2) extending from ridge sheathing wires (3, 3) laid out longitudinally above a shrub. Sub-ridge board wires (6, 6) are laid out longitudinally below each wire of sheathing. Tending cables (5, 5) are destined to put the nets under tension. A linking unit (10) is placed between the lower edges of the nets to evacuate hail. The tending cables re-link a lower edge (13) of a net to the board wire of an adjacent shrub.
