METHOD FOR TRACING SUBSCRIBER LOCATION IN DUAL STACK MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK, CONCERNED WITH TRACING POSITIONS OF ASYNCHRONOUS AND SYNCHRONOUS MOBILE COMMUNICATION NETWORK SUBSCRIBERS BY USING DUAL STACK LOCATION TRACING SERVICE CENTER AND DUAL STACK HOME LOCATION REGISTER

PURPOSE: A method for tracing a subscriber location in a dual stack mobile communication network is provided to enable tracing positions of asynchronous and synchronous mobile communication network subscribers located in a network mixing asynchronous and synchronous mobile communication networks. CONSTITUTION: When a location tracing request system requests a dual stack location tracing service center to trace a location of a subscriber terminal(S101), the dual stack location tracing service center requests location information of the corresponding terminal(S102). A dual stack HLR(Home Location Register) extracts location information of the subscriber and transmits it to the dual stack location tracing service center(S103). The dual stack location tracing service center checks whether the terminal belongs to a synchronous mobile communication network MSC(Mobile Switching Center) or an asynchronous mobile communication network MSC(S104). If the mobile terminal belongs to the asynchronous mobile communication network MSC, the dual stack location tracing service center requests a corresponding MSC to check a location of the subscriber(S105). The corresponding 3G MSC authenticates the terminal(S106) and informs the terminal about the location tracing(S109). The terminal informs the MSC about whether to allow the location tracing(S108). The MSC requests location information from an asynchronous location determining unit(S109). The asynchronous location determining unit traces the location of the terminal(S110) and transmits a location tracing value to the 3G MSC(S111). The MSC transmits the location of the terminal to the dual stack location tracing service center(S112). The dual stack location tracing service converts the location tracing value into an actual place name and transmits it to the location tracing request system(S113).
