PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieving device for appropriately retrieving a document group having a reference relation between documents. SOLUTION: An input accepting part 202 of a retrieving device 201 accepts the input of a retrieval term, and a storage part 204 stores a document, a term included in that, and a reference relation between documents. A retrieving part 203 refers to the storage part 204 to retrieve the document including the retrieval term whose input is accepted, and further to retrieve a document group constituted of a plurality of documents having the reference relation where those respective documents include the retrieval term. A calculating part 205 calculates scores for the document and the document group from the frequency of the appearance of the retrieval term in the retrieved document and the frequency of the appearance of the retrieval term in the respective documents included in the retrieved document group.
