PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus for a press plate which is not accompanied by such negative effects arising when performing development processing within a printing machine. SOLUTION: The exterior of the printing machine is provided with a development station S and a supply arrangement 34 for supplying a processing liquid for development is arranged in the development station S. The press plate 1 which is an object for development processing is supported in the form of a cylindrical body by a supporting member 2 and the processing liquid for development is supplied by the supply arrangement 34 to the plate surface of the press plate 1 which is held supported to the supporting member 2 to develop the pattern written on the plate surface of the press plate 1.
