PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coin processor capable of accurately sorting coins while achieving miniaturization and high speed processing. SOLUTION: This coin processor 1 is provided with a carriage part 40 for carrying coins, a discriminating part 20 arranged at the carriage part 40 for discriminating the features of the carried coins, a sorting part 30 for sorting the coins carried by the carriage part 40 and a controller 50 for controlling the sorting part 30 to sort the coins based on the discriminated features. The features of the coins discriminated by the discriminating part 20 include the shape information of the coins, and the controller 50 controls the sorting part 30 to sort the coins after the lapse of a first predetermined period since the coins pass through the discriminating part 20.
